Different levels

Different levels of sarcopenia have been defined, distinguishing a primary sarcopenia related to aging, and a secondary sarcopenia which in turn comprises subtypes, namely: a) sarcopenia related to disuse, b) sarcopenia associated with diseases ( loss of muscle mass and strength due to an acute or chronic illness), and c) sarcopenia linked to nutrition, the product of inadequate protein and / or energy intake.

It is well documented that muscle deterioration responds to multifactorial phenomena, including endocrine (reduction of anabolic hormones, thyroid dysfunction) https://foodsocietyx.com, functional alterations of mitochondria, circulatory disorders (lower local blood flow), metabolic (insulin resistance, resistance anabolic) and not less important, the nutritional ones, where the energy and protein intake is insufficient.
